Jolly Jar
Growing up in a small town in India, I had a very humble childhood. Making toys out of clay, rocks, leaves were the delight of everyday. Buying Local candies with my saved pocket money at the tiny shop near my home was the highlight of the week.
I used to look forward to summer holidays when my aunt visited us from New York, USA. Those were the days when she would bring this shiny bag full of delicious Jelly beans. I would save them in this glass jar and ration it such that I get to savor the flavor until the next batch arrives.
This painting of mine is a reminder of that time when toys were not as important as the sight of that colorful jar of Joy
