Best in Show winner, The Spectators by Mera Foster, captures the restlessness, hopes, and fears of young people eating together as part of their normal day. From the subjects’ piercing eyes to the scene’s vibrant colors and rich details, the work is well-executed and is the perfect representation of the exhibition theme.
Award of Distinction winners for their creativity and artistic merit include Sumi Chatterjee for her ethereal painting Dandelion and Amy Gadbois for her joyful abstract oil portrait Twirling at Gardener Ranch.
