Blues

This is an oil painting of the sea shore that I frequently visit. It is on canvas board of size 18"×24"
This piece I am submitting is of a beach in NJ the day before Hurricane Ida hit. The sky and sea were eerily the same shade of gray, the water awfully calm and quiet. The wind had lifted the sand in the sky making the clouds heavier while the jetty with the charming house sitting innocently overlooking the waves... The next day it had all gotten swept by the storm; the crashing waves, heavy winds, and remnants of the innocent jetty. the fact that I had gotten a chance to capture all of these beautiful moments in the painting before it was all lost makes me wonder, Am I right in finding beauty in destruction?
